Slow week...

As I was ill most of last week and not up to creating much...and oh the horror I did not even go to paint class so I still have unfinished butterfly and now can't wait to get started on next...
I did have a wonderful play date with a wonderful certified zentangle teacher(CZT) Ann Clapper.
We had a wonderful time tangling talking and just getting to know each other. She helped me out with a couple of tangles that have alluded me and although they will probably never be my favs...at least I know I can do them...Here is one attempt after that day..

A tangle named auraknot and my wonky version.

And a tangleation of the nzeppel tangle with color

And she demonstrated a technique called 15 shades of gray which was an awesome technique and here is the result
Will definitely be looking into that more..isn't that cool.

And I made a couple of cards and will post next week as I didn't take any pics this week...

Did do some line making and sketching in my sketchbook nothing to show here but just trying to continue to improve my lines, shapes and colors...So it seems I did do more than I thought...Well that is all for today..
Have a blessed week and see you all soon!

Happy Sunday...

Another full week of fun...creating and.....

I started Qi-chong a few weeks ago with friends and got my bFF Linda to go with me last week. We had a blast and then had a bite after..should have taken some pics LOL but I don't think either of us wanted to be seen before or after...

But then was busy helping out at Church couple of days this week, with the highlight of being a judge at our talent show last night. It was an experience and kudos to all those who got and displayed their talents.

In between I did have some time to create.
My butterfly is almost done

I think she is becoming her own species  beautiful...

My first tangle in a frame after experimenting and playing with frames..well actually this is just  mat board...yet I love the look

Here is the frame test..
Thanks Patti(my art teacher and friend) who is helping me explore ways to display my art!

Not much coloring this week..so nothing to show but I did make a couple more cards..about ready to make my next move ..

Lastly a couple of tangles I did for challenges this week..

Weekly tangle Group on FB

Diva challenge(One of my fav)
And one for fun!
So this has been a tangling week..feels good and I love tangling...
Well that about sums it up for this week..Hey if you stop by, please leave comment so I can say hi back!
Have a great week..have fun and create!!!

Where did the week go...

I felt that the time went by really fast and I had to find some time to be creative.
Although filled with good things,,,like a visit to Vanderbilt mansion/museum in Hyde Park Been in this area for almost 20 years and am missing some really good gems here. Will be making myself avail of them now...
In the interim I did get a couple of things done this week...My first butterfly painting is coming along nicely will post picture next week after some more work done.
My art teacher this week had us use our leftover paint to just play and experiment with color for the last few minutes of our session...This is what I came up with
Not finished but will see what next week brings..Thanks Patti, that was fun!!

Finished a couple of coloring projects, started with my friends at Serenity Scene, a boarding home for women in recovery here in Ulster County. Not many(if any)exist to help women to recover in a safe clean environment. If you want more info about house, leave comment and I will email you info.

And of course my tangling challenges and some alphabet cards...These were a challenge but lots of fun.

Wow I got more done than I thought !
Have a blessed week and see you soon!

Butterflies and

Hi all,
Seemed like a busy week but I can't for the life of me figure out what I did LOL
That being said not much art stuff this week just a couple of items..
Starting a new series of paintings of butterflies. Smaller pieces than I have been doing but looking more at shapes and colors and quick studies.
No its not done...lol

My art teacher introduced me to pastels on velvet board

And a couple of tangles experimenting with colors(pencils, watercolors and pens)

Soo I guess I was busier than I thought...As usual have a blessed week and for you Mother's out there
Happy Mother's Day!
Hugs
